I feel like scorpion saver is somehow still trying to redirect me to ad pages but I've screwed up scorpion saver's files so much that it's failing and just showing a blank page. Now I've been looking and looking through everything I can think of (registry, services, folders) and can't find anything with a related name, but when I go to amazon those same pages are still coming up blank. Somewhere in all this I also noticed the scorpion saver addon was back on firefox, so I removed that as well.
dll files associated as well as anything in the registry with an associated name, so I used ctrl+f in the registry to find and delete anything with adpeak or scorpion in the name, but it wouldn't let me delete the AdpeakProxy64.dll file in system32 because it was running, so I renamed it to AdpeakProxy64.bmp file and then deleted it and restarted the computer. So after searching the web some more I saw where someone said to delete the.
However, when I restarted in normal mode and tried to navigate on Amazon the same thing happened. So I searched on google how to really get rid of it and got this page when I did this (safemode, rkill, mbam) malwarebytes found like 60 something files and all of them said something about adpeak or scorpion saver or something similar, so I removed them. I didn't think anything of it until today when browsing amazon on certain pages it would show a white page for a long time and then finally load in some ads that said scorpion saver at the bottom. Like it'll go nonresponive for a couple of seconds and come back. Now, for the past couple of weeks I haven't had those original symptoms I was having, but my browser's been acting just a little weird. About a month ago I was experiencing weird problems with my browsers and made this postĪfter whoever was helping me had me run like 10 different scans without finding anything I noticed Scorpion Saver in my installed programs and uninstalled it and all my problems went away.
